About This Project

I created this exhibition for my final project in

Dr. Daniel Domingues's course African History

Through the Digital Medium during my senior year at

the Univeristy of Missouri, Columbia. Creating a

digital exhibit allowed me to write the history of the

2014 Ebola epidemic in Liberia through analysis of

editorial cartoons. By doing so, I hoped to provide

my readers with a different experience of learning

about the 2014 outbreak in Liberia as well as

highlighting the importance of using editorial cartoons to write history. Typically, as readers, we do not see history written through the use of editorial cartoons, but hopefully this exhibit will draw attention to how significant to history they are.
